Dykning.

Vi er begge to certificeret Advanced Padi. Vi tog vores certifikat her i Qatar i 1999. Advanced i 2000.

We are both certified Advanced Padi. We got our certificate here in Qatar in 1999. Advanced in 2000. We have logged 108 dives each. There is 2-3 divecenters in Doha. They are mostly based on sale of diving equipment, but do courses also. We have been diving in Qatar, Oman, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Maldives and on the Philippines.

Diving in Qatar is not the same high quality as in e.g. Thailand and on the Philippines. All coral in the Golf is dead. This happened in the middle of the 90's. Caused by high water temperature. We see though new coral, but still very limited. When we dive from the coast, the dept is down to 20 m. To find deeper water a boat is needed. Diving on the dead coral reefs can be ok. Because of the different plants still growing on the reefs, many fish can be seen. We see hammours, barracudas, anglefish, turtles and many different smaller fish. The Golf has a big population of whale sharks and sharks. Unfourtantly whale sharks are never seen close to the coast. Sharks are spoted on rare ocasions.

We use Scuba Pro MK18 as first stage regulator and Scuba Pro R380 as second stage regulator. Our dive computers are Aladin Air from Uwatec.

As an underwater camera we use a Canon IXUS 400 with a Canon WP-DC800 underwater house.
